In this version, we have implemented updates focused primarily on support for logging in with a Google Account, automatic network connection optimization, and enhanced Group Policy functionality.
New Features
Support for logging in with a Google Account (Personal Plan)
Users on the free plan (for personal use) can now log in with a Google account in addition to a Microsoft account.
Key Benefits
- If you have a Google Workspace or personal Gmail account, you can use this service without needing to register separately
- You can use Power Viewer even if you don’t have a Microsoft account
Automatic connection selection and memory function
The system now automatically remembers the types of network connections that have worked successfully in the past and prioritizes those proven connections when attempting to connect in the future.
Key Benefits
- Even in complex proxy environments, connections are more likely to remain stable
- The time required to verify the connection each time will be reduced
Enhancements for Administrators (Group Policy)
New settings have been added to the Group Policy file. Administrators can use these settings to manage the user environment within their organization with greater precision.
Added policy settings
| Settings | Contents |
|---|---|
| Download Server CV | Controls whether to retrieve the CV used for viewing eCTDs from the server or to use only the local one |
| Displaying the CV List tab | Controls whether the CV Management tab is displayed within the application |
| Login Mode | Controls whether online login is required or whether offline use is permitted |
Key Benefits
- This enables more flexible operations tailored to your organization’s security policies and network environment
- Certain configuration settings that previously depended on LicenseKey settings can now be managed directly via Group Policy.
Note: The schema for Group Policy files has been updated. If you are using existing Group Policy files, you will need to recreate them or have an administrator update them.
Improved operability and stability
Guidance on External Documents for Personal Use Plans
Users on the Personal Plan will now see a clear guidance message when they open an application that includes external documents.
Key Benefits
- This clearly explains why external documents are not displayed
- This may prompt you to consider upgrading to an organizational plan
Expansion of proxy connection options
New options have been added to the network connection types. This update supports a wider range of proxy environments and authentication methods.
Key Benefits
- You will be able to select the appropriate connection method even in complex internal proxy environments
Local storage of error information
